Meeting of General Membership was held and called meeting to order at 1320 by Jeremy.

 

Read of previous meeting minutes – Fawn Brickman

 

Treasurers Report – Sara Miller (Finances were not discussed due to public location, however, Sara had the information available at request.

 

Old Business

Update on maps-  All sponsorships have been confirmed- total 50.  16/50 are level 2 (Website and Map).  Waiting to go to print for Waukon ordnance update and inquiry to New Albin on their update.

Money to CD from Checking- Completed.

Elections:  All officers are in place.

 

New Business

2023 Club Rides:

  • Larson Ride – April 15th.  10am meeting / 10:30 Ride This is a membership ride only.  Memberships will be available that morning to purchase.  The waiver and directions will be sent out prior and it is requested to fill out prior to arrival to expedite the process.   A Porta Potty rental was motioned by Lina Herman and 2nd for a full approval by membership.
  • Fort Dodge-  May 6th.  10am Meet in Parking Lot.  Great area to stay the night.  Reminder that helmets are required for all riders.  All riders must be able to rest their feet on the floor board (vice age restrictions).  Drivers License, registration, insurance will be required for the rigs.
  • Potluck, Scavenger Hunt.  2nd meeting this was brought up.  Jeremy would like to make something fun for the members.  He is looking for ideas and assist on planning.  Reach out directly to him.
  • Iron Hill Powersports Ride – This was brought to the group previously.  There was a motion by Chad Radloff and a 2nd by Kim Kregal to assist/participate.  Dave, Krystal and Alex are helping in the initial plan.  Any others would be appreciated.

Spring Clean Up – Primary Date:  April 22nd.  Rain Date April 29th.  More details to follow. Plan to be like last year.  Dumpster, truck and extras are being looked into.

2023 Membership Cards and Stickers are in. Lifetime stickers and card were handed out to the members present.  A general comment on how nice the sticker came out.

Ragbrai Volunteer Appreciation Party was held on Friday, March 3rd at City Hall, Lansing IA for all of the volunteers.

Ragbrai Grant Money – As discussed at the last general meeting- we were looking for a trailer to purchase with the funds received by the Ragbrai grant monies in the Allamakee county.  A special Board Meeting was held on 21 Feb 2022 and approved for purchase.  Some of the members took a picture with the trailer prior to this meeting for the Ragbrai committee.

Club Trailer – A discussion concerning types of insurance was available for the trailer besides person ‘tow’ insurance.  Sara Miller offered to get some more information for the group.  In addition, Krystal Cahalan brought some designs for lettering.  The two quotes from Waukon businesses were within $59 of each other.  It was Motioned by Tim Miller and 2nd by Kim Kregal to approve the purchase and installation of the lettering from Lucky 7.

 

Additional Add-ins

  • The Cahalan’s presented the new shirt and sweatshirts – Grey on Grey.  They have sizes @- 3X.  In addition, they are in the market for a Special Order only Club Jacket.  More information to follow.
  • Jeremy brought up a member’s input that they had cracking of their side walls for their tires on their Polaris.  If anyone else has these issues, let them know and he can help put you in contact with the member and how to navigate with Polaris.

A motion was made to end meeting. Jeremy Bjerke 2nd the motion.
