July Meeting

Meeting of General Membership was held and called meeting to order at 1302/1:02pm by Jeremy.

Treasurers Report – Sara Miller reviewed all expenditures for both May and June. Combined totals:
Expended: (-$1931.08); total income (+$263.00)
Current balance of all accounts $42494.22.
Old Business 2023 Club Rides:
• Larson Ride – A great ride with over 20 rigs and signed up new members. A ‘Free Will’ donation
was collected and delivered to Larson UTV for donating the park use.
• Fort Dodge- May 6ᵗʰ. Only a few rigs from the club in attendance. Jeremy noted how well the park
operates. Over 50 campers on-site with all type of UTV/ATV and Motocross. Highly recommend to the
club.
Spring Clean Up – a complete success. Trailers of trash were collected at the drop point and with
Don Herman running around to pick up. The ‘metal only’ trailer was brought to recycling by Sara and
Tim Miller; and resulted in $103 of scrap metal (included in the above-mentioned income). Linda
Herman applied for the Keep Iowa Beautiful package again this year. We were granted with a $50
donation (included in the above-mentioned income) to cover supplies.
Iron Hill Powersports Ride – Still in progress of planning. Expect a Poker ride with giveaways and
possibly entertainment. Possible date in Sept. More to follow.
Club Trailer – Trailer is currently at the shop getting decals installed.
Map Update- The updated map has been delivered to all vendors. The map was printed prior to
Waukon’s change of ordinance for the Park portion (see below).
Shift. The Ragbrai 50ᵗʰ Documentary: Held May 11ᵗʰ @TJ Hunters, Lansing. Our donation yielded $50
(included in the above-mentioned income).
Clothing: Krystal Cahalan brought in their Club Jackets that were for sale in April for viewing. A
discussion was had the online store to open again in the fall for another purchase window.
New Business
Memorial for Julie Herman: Our devoted member, Julie Herman, passed on 18 June 2023. She was an
amazing volunteer that always had a voice in the club and community. She was also a loyal volunteer
for our events. The club delivered a Memorial Wreath. Jeremy is accepting suggestions for a
Memorial. Some so far are a Memorial Ride or an Adopt a Highway. If you have other thoughts, please
contact Jeremy.
Additional Add-ins
Lansing Fire Department Ride: Krystal Cahalan attended Lansing Fire Dept’s monthly meeting and
discussed with them how the club could assist. She is looking into designing a LFD and Club Hat for
sale and koozies. More to follow.
The following volunteers are needed from the club for the event:
o Ride- as many willing to assist. There will be a pre-ride on Labor Day weekend only for
volunteers.
o Concert: Asking for (6) volunteers to help with concessions. All volunteers- please contact
Krystal Cahalan or message via FB.
