DESCRIPTION:As a member of the Allamakee County ATV/UTV Club- Park Committee, Krystal Cahalan is inviting anyone to visit Gypsum City OHV Park in Fort Dodge Iowa on May 6th. The clubs park committee has been working towards a park like this in our area. UTV registration dollars support this park and others in our state.\nGypsum City OHV Park has 800 acres and 60 miles of trails ranging from easy to difficult as well as challenge courses. A member of the Iowa Off-Highway Vehicle Association may be available to discuss the park and answer questions.  The website for the park is https://www.mycountyparks.com/county/webster/Park/Gypsum-City-OHV-Park.aspx.\nEvent details:\nThere is no need to pre-register with the club.\nWe will meet in the parking lot at 10 am to begin the day and will announce a location to meet for lunch as we may get separated on the trails. Bring your own food and drink (alcohol is not allowed).\nMaps are available and trails are marked well.\nRefer to Gypsum City OHV website for rules, here are some highlights:\n– ***entrance gate width is 65 inches***\n– helmets required (includes loading and unloading machines)\n– machine must be DNR registered (same registration required for riding in our county) no other fee or waiver needed\n– passengers must be able to place their feet on the floor of the UTV\n– the park may close if trail conditions deteriorate, refer to Gypsum City’s website for closure information\n– campsites and tiny homes available at the park (the campground does not close if the park closes)\n-some motels in Fort Dodge have access to the park by machine\nPM or email Krystal Cahalan with any questions\nemail: cahalankrystal@gmail.com\n
